The Nacht Dreck are doing chaotic nightly parades called "Aufruhr" around the Watchtower. When it is dark out, they gather in huge numbers, enough to fill the streets, with floats, banners, all sorts of parade finery & run through the streets as a mob, attacking any unfortunate souls who happen to be out. The Meister of the Watchtower has hired you to stop the parades.

Plague of Scrogs

It is late spring & the Scrog population in the Rotting Swamp has exploded! The sound of their fat bodies slapping around & their croaking & shrill trilling fill the air, making sleep difficult. There are Scrogs everywhere, in people's houses, on the roads, in the trees, in the wells, in the pipes, everywhere. There are so many Scrogs on the road that wheeled travel is impossible. The local wizards say that the Black Tree must be fed thirteen dead Scrogs to have this curse lifted.

Shadowy representatives of the Inquisition are impressed with your ability to keep the pagans in line. They rush you by coach to Brüttelburg where they task you with suppressing the gathering shadow of the Kurbiskopf – the Pumpkin cult of the Gütter folk. The pumpkin harvest is about to start in the Lowlands, & as the pumpkins grow in the Fields, so too grows the powers of the Kurbiskopf - you must squash the pumpkins to squash the cult!

Pumpkin Smuggler

Fall has fallen on the Lowlands! The pumpkins are ripe. A pumpkin shaped shopkeeper in Brüttelburg wants delivery to his shop of some of the perfect pumpkins from the many farms in the Fields. Curiously, he gives you a Grave Shovel to unearth the pumpkins. He is very clear that only pumpkins exhumed this way will be acceptable & who are you to question such eccentricities? This forbidden fruit must be smuggled back into Brüttelburg. Fear of the Kurbiskopf – the Pump- kin cult of the pagan Gütter - means the import of pumpkins is strictly policed. As the pumpkins grow, so too spreads the heathen power of the Kürbiskopf !

Quest For Sausage

Once a busy hub for the livestock trade of Brüttelburg's foothills, Pigskin Port is now sunken into decay. The filthy streets are crowded with refugees, vagrants & stench. Having recently escaped yourselves, you hope to find a way to make some quick funds. You step into a local tavern to find a meal & perhaps even a job, but to your dismay the tavern is out of food! It seems there is a shortage throughout the region - herds & crops blighted by witches, caravans raided, bandits driving up the cost of the trade. The tavern keeper will pay anyone who can find & bring back a cache of provisions, but some of the shadier elements in town have come up with an alternate plan to feed the starving locals...

Sausages are the overstuffed, greasy life blood of the Würstreich. The majority of people’s daily caloric intake is made up of sausages. They are as com- mon as air & water, but they cost money. Beer is the only thing that comes remotely close to sausages in terms of ubiquity. There is such tremendous demand for sausages that they make up an entire section of society & the economy. These sausag- es are made out of all sorts of things: pork & beef are the most common, but other, more rarefied & putrescent meats find their way into sausages along with spices, filler, sawdust & floor sweepings.

He’s reportedly meaner than a junkyard dog, badder than a giant gorilla with personality defects that run deeper than the deep blue sea.
